Holds 2 advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy and AHCP(Reg).
In my 4 years of training I fell in love with the work and teachings of Aaron Beck, and his theories and construct of CBT, and the the ideas of Gestalt therapy which focuses on the individuals experience in the present moment. I believe that these therapies in their truest clean untouched forms are truly amazing.
As a therapist, my passion for helping others and my belief in the power of therapy, have been the driving force behind my decision to pursue this field. This led me to explore various therapeutic approaches, and eventually specialize in working with neurodiverse clients. Choosing to work with neurodiverse individuals was a natural progression for me, I strongly believe in the importance of inclusivity and celebrating the diversity of human experiences. CBT plays a significant role in my therapeutic approach. CBT emphasizes the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. In addition to CBT I also integrate Gestalt Therapy, into my practice for neurodiverse clients. Gestalt therapy is a holistic approach that places emphases on the present moment, emphasizing self-awareness personal responsibility, and acceptance.
My main interests are my 2 dogs, films, wacky comedy, and the love of cartoons.
As a psychotherapist I specialize in adaptive therapy and helping the neurodiverse client navigate difficult life transitions. I also have extensive training in mindfulness-based therapy.
My approach is holistic and adaptive. I work with neurodiverse clients to identify their goals and develop a personalized treatment plan that incorporates a variety of techniques, including mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Every neurodiverse client is different so every therapeutic treatment plan is tailored uniquely to their own goals.
